SAG | Recruitment Requirements and Information

Welcome to the San Andreas Government's requirements for employment. The SAG oversees the entirety of San Andreas, its establishments, and its governmental process. If you are considering being an employee of the Government and all the benefits it entails, you have come to the right place. However, it is important that you understand the duties of a SAG employee and what will be required of you to submit your application.

- Age: You must be at least 20 years old at the time of the submission of your application. ((You are required to be at least 16 years old IRL and have demonstrated sufficient maturity. The SAG faction has no tolerance for immensely immature individuals.))
- Residency: You must be a resident of San Andreas for no less than 12 calendar months prior to the submission of your application.
- ((The SAG faction strictly enforces a 50 hours requirement (EXP). The more EXP you have, the better your chances are of a successful application. Please note, it counts if you have sufficient EXP on a character other than the one you are applying with. It is expected you have sufficient knowledge of Vital RP, its rules, and the GTA V setting.))
- Multiple Employments: The San Andreas Government allows its employees to be employed elsewhere. ((Currently, Vital RP's script only allows faction members to be a part of one faction per character. This may be subject to change in the future, but as for now, applicants must not be a member of any other official factions. Unofficial faction membership is permitted.))
- Licenses: Employees of the San Andreas Government are required to have a fully valid driver's license in the State of San Andreas. During the application reviewal process, your driving record will be taken into account through a background check. This includes, but is not limited to: Traffic tickets, previous driver's license suspensions, and any arrests relating to driving infractions. Applicants are not required to possess a firearms license, however, in special situations, it may be necessary to have one.
- Criminal Record: The San Andreas Government holds high standards for their employees. With this in mind, the SAG absolutely does not hire any individuals with a criminal record containing felonies within the past 6 months. Employment at the SAG requires immense trust. Additionally, misdemeanors are handled on a case-by-case basis depending on the severity and age of the charge. You must also be a citizen in good standing, and any type of illegal gang affiliation is not permitted.

- Miscellaneous Requirements:
- Your application must be submitted online, so it is required that you have basic knowledge of computers. Additionally, most of the SAG duties require the use of computers to file important information.
- You must be physically able to attend an interview with a Human Resources Official, given your application reaches that stage.
- Applicants for the San Andreas Government must not have any active applications with any other government agency. It is required any other applications are withdrawn before submitting an application for the SAG.

- Application Submission/Reviewal Stage (preliminary review): You, the applicant, will first navigate to the San Andreas Government application here and fill it out appropriately before submitting it in the ACTIVE APPLICATIONS section. Upon submission, your application will be reviewed by an employee of the Human Resources Office. The HR official will read over your application and conduct the necessary background checks, moreover conducting any cross-checking that may be needed to ensure the application is truthful and of high quality.
- Interview Stage w/ Hiring Manager: If and when your application gets accepted, you will move on to the interview phase. To conduct the interview, you must visit City Hall and sit down with an Supervisor or above from the Office you are applying for with the possibility of a HR Official present. The formal interview is designed to assess the applicant's abilities. This includes problem-solving skills, knowledge of Government, interpersonal abilities, and communication skills. There are not exactly 'right' or 'wrong' questions during the interview, and you will mainly be asked to answer various hypothetical and/or open-ended questions. Prior to the interview, you will be subject to a security search and drug testing. Upon failing either of these two security measures, your application will be denied.
- Welcome to The San Andreas Government: Upon a successful interview, you will be hired as an entry-level employee of the San Andreas Government. It is important to understand that you are new to the job, and you will have to participate in a training process. As a new member of the SAG, you will undergo training and shadow other staff members' duties within your office. Once you have passed the necessary training, you will be provided a probationary phase for 2 weeks to prove your competency for the job. Given you were successful through it, you will be promoted to the next grade level within that office.
- Cross Responsibility and Assignment
Dependent upon vacancies, you may be eligible to apply for other positions and divisions within the San Andreas Government.

In addition to the In Character (IC) requirements stated above, you must also meet the following Out Of Character (OOC) requirements to join the SAG faction.

- You must be at least 16 years of age and demonstrate maturity.
- You must be able to read and understand the English language fluently, as Vital RP is an English-speaking roleplay server. This includes proper grammar and spelling. It does not have to be perfect, but it must be sufficient for communication.
- You must possess a functioning microphone. It is not required of you to constantly use it, but it is mandatory that you have one in situations where it may need to be used. Although VRP is a text and VOIP server, being a part of the SAG faction will demand occasional use of VOIP.
- You must be familiar with the /me and /do commands and how to properly use them in a roleplay setting. This will be tested during the interview stage, and it is expected that you will use them regularly whilst you are completing IC faction duties.
- You MUST NOT have any form of administrator punishments within the last 30 days. This may vary from applicant to applicant and will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please note that the SAG faction leadership reserves the right to deny your application based on excessively poor admin logs, regardless of how far back they go. The SAG is a GOVERNMENT faction and is expected to uphold high roleplay and OOC standards.
- The San Andreas Government may also deny your application based on other OOC factors such as OOC removal from another faction, poor RP, OOC conduct, and OOC toxicity. The SAG is a very important faction within the Vital Roleplay community, and we wish to provide a healthy and friendly environment. It is imperative that we know you are a contributor to this.
By submitting an application, you affirm you will not do the following:
- Hide any other characters.
- Hide past administrative records, or providing outdated ones that do not include recent infractions.
- Hide any OOC removals from other factions on Vital Roleplay.
- Hide past history and denials within the San Andreas Government.
- Contact any HR Officials or other faction members Out of Character regarding the expedition of your application.
