My name is Barry Long and I'm a 33 year old man who follows law and order, I have the utmost respect for it. In my spare time I am a professional fisherman so I have patience and good hand to eye coordination. I do my best to ensure people around me are safe from bad apples, it's always been in my nature to protect those who need it the most. Every now and then I like to head over to ammunation and brush up on my combat skills to ensure I am in top shape for any potentially dangerous situations I may find myself in. With all that being said I would only use my skills as a last resort as causing harm to people unnecessarily would keep me up at night. Other than that I'm just an average guy who enjoys a quiet life, good company and good music.
Why should the San Andreas Department of Corrections hire you over other applicants? (minimum of 100 words):
I feel like my communication skills would be an ideal fit to the DOC since I would be able to help offenders see wrong in their actions and potentially aid them in their rehabilitation. I am loyal, hardworking and would give my all to the department in every way expected from me. I am good at listening to/reading orders and would follow them to the best of my abilities. I try to keep my self defence abilities in tip top shape by regularly visiting ammunation and practising on the firing range. I am able to keep calm in stressful situations and would only ever resort to violence if it was my only option.
How do you handle pressure or stressful situations?:
I am calm and collected and keep my wits about me at all times. I can remain focused and follow orders under pressure whilst doing my best to execute orders.
What traits do you have that you feel may be of use to us?:
My communication skills are my best asset, I would try to use them to build a rapport with the inmates in hope of keeping them from becoming repeat offenders. I am also very loyal and take my roles and responsibilities seriously so I feel I would be a valuable asset to the department.
